Women's Tennis Announces Fall Slate

2018 Fall Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- The Arkansas women’s tennis program released its fall slate Wednesday afternoon, as announced by first-year head coach Courtney Steinbock.

The schedule includes five tournaments in September and October, with the team closing out tournament play in the last weekend of October.

The Hogs will open their slate at the Milwaukee Classic from Sept. 21-23, with four student-athletes competing. The team will also play in the Minnesota Invite in Minneapolis, Minn. from Sept. 21-23.

Junior Jackie Carr and sophomore Tatum Rice will represent the program at the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships, with the pair being selected to the pre-qualifying bracket. The duo will begin play on Sept. 29 at Pepperdine University, vying for an All-American national title as well as a chance to compete in the 2018 Oracle ITA Fall National Championships in Surprise, Ariz.

For October play, the team will head to Iowa City, Iowa for the ITA Central Regional Championships from Oct. 12-16. The Hogs competed in the tournament last season at Kansas, with a pair of Razorbacks coming in second place doubles play.

Arkansas will close out its fall slate at the Auburn Invite, with four student-athletes making the trip to Auburn, Ala. from Oct. 26-28.

The Razorbacks welcomed two players in the off-season, one freshman and one transfer, and returned three starters from last season’s spring roster.
