AUSTIN, Texas –The No. 14 Razorbacks had a successful day three, including a runner-up performance in the sprint medley relay with a time of 3:50.02 and a personal-best pole vault performance by Danielle Nowell.
Kirsten Hesseltine earned a top-three finish for the No. 14 Razorbacks, clearing 5-8.75 for a third-place finish in high jump.
Freshman Regine Williams was a sixth-place qualifier in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.46. She will compete in the finals Saturday at 3:05 p.m.
The sprint medley relay team of R. Williams, Taylor Ellis-Watson, Chrishuna Williams and Kari McClary held a steady lead throughout the race, finishing in a close second behind Texas A&M with a time of 3:40.02.
The final running event of the day, the distance medley relay, placed up in the top-five with a fourth-place finish. The quartet of Regan Ward, Diana Harper, Victoria Feole and Sandie Raines finished in 11:32.31.
The day wrapped up with pole vault, including a personal-best performance from Nowell at 13-7.25,, taking down her previous PR of 13-5.75 set at the Sun Angel Classic last year. Junior Sandi Morris made her vaulting debut with the Razorbacks, finishing sixth with a height of 13-7.25.
