Youth soccer, Hispanic heritage promos set

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas’ soccer team is home to open Southeastern Conference play this weekend and several promotions are planned.

The Razorbacks entertain Ole Miss on Friday at 7 p.m. and play host to Mississippi State on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Ole Miss game is also being televised by Cox Sports Television, which is Channel 119 for most Cox and Suddenlink subscribers in Arkansas.

Friday’s Ole Miss contest has been designated UA’s Youth Soccer Month Game. The first 200 fans through the game receive a soccer hand fan, courtesy of Youth Soccer Month. There will also be drawings for Youth Soccer Month t-shirts, food coupons and other prizes.

Sunday’s MSU game has been designated Hispanic Heritage Day. The first 200 fans will receive an Arkansas soccer water bottle and a face sticker. Beginning at noon in Lot 56, a booth will open where children can have a photo taken with Big Red and other Razorback mascots. Public address announcements will be made throughout the game in both English and Spanish, and Spanish-themed music will be played during the afternoon.

For both Friday and Sunday’s games, the Hogwild Kick for Cash at halftime gives three contestants a chance to win $100 and advance for a chance to win $1,000. The Jason’s Deli Kids Zone will be available prior to the game and at halftime, and there will be an autograph session with the Razorbacks following each contest.
