Zguns and Price Set to Begin Play at Indoor Ch

Ann Arbor, Mich. – Razorback tennis players, Adrians Zguns and Nathan Price, begin action in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Thursday with the start of singles play.
Both qualified for the field of the 32 of some of the best players in the country after reaching the finals of the Region V Tournament on Oct. 20. Zguns, No. 71 in the nation, will begin play against Hamid Mirzadeh, No. 8 in the nation, of Florida in the first round. Zguns carries a (14-2) record into his first round match with Mirzadeh with a (5-2) record against top 100 opponents. Teammate Nathan Price will start his tournament off by playing Cliff Nguyen of Harvard. Price has accumulated a record of (13-4) this fall with six of his 13 coming at the Icy Hot ITA Championships in October.
Among the top players playing this weekend is the No. 4 player in the nation, Alex Vlaski of Washington. Other top players playing are No. 2 Bo Hodge (Georgia), No. 5 Janne Holmia, No. 8 Hamid Mirzadeh (Florida), No. 9 Jessie Witten (Kentucky), No. 10 Caitlin Gard (Mississippi), and No.11 Romain Ambert (Mississippi St.).
Zguns will take on Mirzadeh, while Price plays Nguyen on Thursday in first round action. Second and quarterfinal rounds will be on Friday with semis on Saturday and finals on Sunday.
