Zogaj falls in semis three-setter

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Junior Nikolas Zogaj of the Razorback men’s tennis team, fell one win short of reaching the finals of the UNLV Invitational on Saturday after dropping a tough three-set match to Jay Goldman of Arizona, 6-7, 6-3, 6-3. With the loss, the fall season ends for Zogaj and the rest of the team as they now prepare for the spring season.

The doubles team of Zogaj and freshman Mike Nott were also competing for a spot in the doubles semifinals, but, however, also came up short after falling to Jordan Bridge and Jugen Dejager of Cal Poly, 8-6.

This concludes the fall season for the men’s tennis team as they now set their sights on the spring season. As a team, the Razorbacks racked up 45 individual wins this fall, including 20 wins in doubles matches. Mike Nott, highlighted the season with a tournament championship at the Purdue Invitational to add to his seven win total this fall. Also, Gregoire Lehmann was the winner of his flight at the Miami Invitational. He had six wins for the fall.
