14 National Event Leaders Under One Roof

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The nationally-ranked Arkansas men’s and women’s track and field teams are back home this weekend at the Randal Tyson Track Center as the hosts of the 2017 Razorback Invitational.

A meet of historic proportions, the Razorback Invitational made headlines last season for becoming the first regular season collegiate track and field meet to be broadcast on live television. The loaded event, which will once again return live to the airwaves on Saturday, Jan. 28, will feature 14 of the most formidable programs from across the country, including nine nationally-ranked teams.

Within those stellar teams lies 14 current national event-leaders, two of which (Clive Pullen and Tori Weeks) are Razorbacks. Additionally, the Tyson Center will also welcome seven reigning NCAA indoor champions from the 2016 national meet.

The two-day event will kick off on Friday, Jan. 27 at 11:30 a.m. with the heptathlon 60-meter dash. Friday evening’s prime time events scheduled for 6 p.m. will get underway with the men’s distance medley relay.
