Johnuel “Boogie” Fland, rated as one of the top two point guards in the nation by all the recruiting services, has signed with Arkansas basketball, head coach John Calipari announced. Fland is a veteran on various USA Basketball teams and played in three all-star games including the McDonald’s All-American Game, the Jordan Brand Classic and the Nike Hoop Summit.

On Oct. 3, 2023, it was announced that John Calipari would receive the John R. Wooden Award “Legends of Coaching” honor. On Friday (April 12), the new Razorback head basketball coach was on hand for the trophy presentation at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
