2010 Camp of Champions

The 2010 Arkansas Track and Field Camp of Champions has been cancelled because of low registration.

These camps are designed to provide distance runners, sprinters, and field event competitors with a unique combination of classroom and field instruction, stimulating training sessions, and fun! The camp shares training methods used by the most successful athletes throughout the world. These methods will be put to use in a week of quality, early season based, training intended to stimulate interest and motivation in Cross Country and Track and Field. Whether beginner or expert, novice or world class athlete, this camp will prepare and equip you with the proper mechanics and winning techniques to help you move to a new level of excellence.

Camp Fees:

$315 for overnight $215 for day

Discipline and supervision

The Arkansas Razorback Camps are the finest instructional camps in the country. We are proud that our campers adhere to set guidelines and rules. We aim to create an environment that will enhance their learning experience and give them a positive attitude which is essential in sports. Campers are not allowed to date, ride in cars, or smoke while at camp, nor will they be allowed to be off campus unless with an organized and supervised camp group. All visitors must secure permission through the camp director. Early departures must furnish written parental sanction to the Camp Director prior to the start of camp. The camp will have a coach to camper ratio of 10-1. Campers will be supervised by the coaches at all times.

Insurance

All campers MUST have their own medical coverage. However, all campers are covered by an excess group policy. Professional Trainers are on staff 24 hours a day.

Eligibility and physical

Each camper MUST have a physical check-up by a family physician. A checkup form is included on the application page.

Overnight Campers

What to bring: T-shirts, shorts, socks, track shoes, towels, washcloths, toilet articles, bathing suit, and bedding for twin size bed. (Many campers bring a sleeping bag instead of sheets.

Housing and meals

All overnight campers will be housed in a dorm selected by the University of Arkansas Residence Life Department. Campers will be roomed according to age and there will be 2 campers per room. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served to overnight campers.

Airport Pick-up

The Razorback staff will be happy to pick up campers at the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) (Charge $20) or bus station if we are notified at least one week prior to camp.
