#30 Arkansas Set to Face #26 Mississippi State

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – Arkansas, No. 30 in the nation, faces No. 26 Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss., this Friday, March 26, then returns home to host No. 4 Mississippi at the UA Outdoor Tennis Complex.
Mississippi State enters this weekend’s match against Arkansas with a 7-5 mark on the season with six of seven wins coming against ranked teams. The only non-ranked win the Bulldogs have on the season came against Colorado on March 11. Mississippi State is coming off of two consecutive losses to the Tennessee Volunteers and the Georgia Bulldogs. Romain Ambert, No. 22 in the nation, highlights the Bulldogs team with his 18-11 record on the season.
After the match against Mississippi State, the Razorbacks will return home in preparation to host the No. 4 Mississippi Rebels. Ole Miss has a 14-1 record on the season with a perfect 6-0 record in conference play. The Rebels only loss on the season came on Feb. 7, to No. 5 UCLA. Ole Miss currently has three ranked players on its lineup. Catalin Gard, No. 4 in the nation, Claes Lindholm, No. 29 in the nation, and Paul Ciorascu, No. 82 in the nation. Gard and Ciorascu also team together to represent the Rebels with the 8th ranked doubles team in the nation.
Arkansas (10-4) also has two highly ranked players on its team. Adrians Zguns, No. 10 in the nation, with a 26-7 record, and Nathan Price, No. 83 in the nation, 25-8 on the season. Matt Roberts and Imraan Ismail have a 9-3 record in doubles play this spring with most of their wins coming at number two doubles.
Arkansas will face Mississippi State at its A.J. Pitts Tennis Center at 2 p.m. Following the match the Razorbacks will return home to host Ole Miss at 1 p.m. at the UA Outdoor Tennis Complex.
