Beyond the Box: Arkansas vs. Tennessee
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Quistelle Williams shined for Arkansas throughout the game. The senior entered double-digit scoring for the Razorbacks and really got things going with in the first half with 10 points, including the first seven Razorback points of the game. Williams tacked on five more second-half points to bring her final tally to 15, and also contributed eight boards for the Razorbacks. Calli Berna receives honorable mention for this game with superb ball movement that kept Arkansas alive. She finished with nine assists, seven boards and eight total points.
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME: Arkansas was trailing the Lady Vols in the first half 14-7 and Erin Gatling came to the rescue with a jumper to close the gap to five. Gatling's jumper ignited the Razorback offense, as they went on a 21-5 run to close the half up by nine, 28-19.
STATS OF THE GAME: The Razorback defense forced 16 Tennessee turnovers that resulted in 10 Razorback points. In the first half Arkansas forced 13 of the 16 turnovers clearly flustering the Tennessee offense.
NOTE OF THE GAME: With the loss, Arkansas is 17-10. Of their 10 losses, seven have come to ranked teams, and five have come outside of Bud Walton Arena.
