FAYETTEVILLE – When Arkansas opens its four-game series with San Diego State this weekend at Baum Stadium, Razorback fans will notice the addition of LED ribbon boards.

Two 100-foot LED ribbon boards have been installed, with one located down the first base line and the other down the third base line. Made possible in part by the University of Arkansas Athletic Department’s partnership with Razorback Sports Properties, the new ribbon boards will enhance the game day atmosphere at Baum Stadium and provide game information to fans sitting in the Hog Pen and crowd prompts. The total cost of the project was $340,000.

“New LED ribbon boards at Baum Stadium was a much needed improvement and it only enhances the premier college baseball stadium in the country,” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. “Now fans will be able to keep track of the score, count and other game information in areas where the primary scoreboard is not visible like the Hog Pen. The boards will also help us coordinate fans interaction throughout the stadium, improving what is already the best home field advantage in college baseball.”

Arkansas has ranked in the top five nationally in attendance each of the last eight seasons, including last season when the Razorbacks ranked second nationally in average attendance with an average of 7,893 fans per game.

Tickets for each game of this weekend’s series vs. San Diego State as well as Arkansas’ 26 remaining home games are available by visiting the online ticket center at ArkansasRazorbacks.com, calling the Razorback Ticket Office at 1-800-982-HOGS (4647) or on game day at Baum Stadium, while supplies last.
