FAYETTEVILLE – Senior Kemoy Campbell and head coach Chris Bucknam were named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Runner and Coach of the Year, respectively, after the 2013 SEC Championships. The year-end awards were announced by the league Friday.

Campbell led the Razorbacks to a 1-2-3 finish at the SEC Championship and went on to finish in a meet-record time of 22:58.73, beating the previous record held by Arkansas’ Josphat Boit in 2004 with a time of 23:09.91. His time was also a course record at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla., besting the previous time of 23:34.0.

Campbell became Arkansas’ ninth individual conference champion, overall, the program now has 12 SEC champions. He was also named a member of the All-SEC First-Team for the second year in a row.

After leading the Razorbacks to their 21st title in 23 years, Bucknam has been named the SEC Coach of the Year for the fourth time in cross country. This marks the 12th total SEC Coach of the Year Honor for Bucknam, including the eighth in a row including indoor and outdoor honors.

Bucknam now has collected 12 SEC Championships, 42 SEC Individual Champions (2 cross country) and a total of 117 All-SEC selections with four added this year. Alongside Campbell, Stanley Kebenei and Solomon Haile were named to the All-SEC first team while Gabe Gonzalez was named to the second team
