FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – It was another impressive day for the women’s track and field team, as the No. 9 Razorbacks won 11 events at the John McDonnell Invitational at John McDonnell Field. In addition, 10 personal records were taken down over the two-day meet.

Regine Williams continued to impress in her third outdoor meet of her career, taking home victories in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter dash. Taylor Ellis-Watson (11.67) finished second behind Williams (11.29) in the 100-meter dash, followed by Shekara Boakye (11.95) in fourth place for three of the top-five finishes. The Razorbacks finished 1-2 in the 200-meter as Williams (23.72) was followed by Brianna Swinton (24.13) in the 200-meter dash.

It was yet another good weekend for pole vaulter Sandi Morris who, for the second weekend in a row, set a personal-best and won the event. Morris just missed the collegiate record on a close third attempt, wrapping her performance at 14-7.25 which is good for the second-best mark in the nation.

The distance crew once again came through with a record-setting performance, as Dominique Scott, Grace Heymsfield and Diane Robison finished 1-2-3 in the 1,500-meter, respectively. Scott’s first-place time of 4:19.72 took down her previous personal-best of 4:22.66 set at the Stanford Invitational last year. Heymsfield’s runner-up time of 4:20.47 replaces her previous record of 4:21.62 set at the Mt. Sac Relays in 2012.

Arkansas will return action next week at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. For more information on Razorback Track and Field, follow @RazorbackTF on Twitter.
