2012 || INDOOR: Gauntlett was a two-time All-America performer with a pair of first-team efforts at the NCAA Championships. He was the third leg for the 4x400-meter relay team that won a national title and, individually, was the national runner-up at 200 meters. The Razorbacks’ NCAA title in the 4x400m was the program’s first-ever title in the event. In the final round of the 200 meters at the national meet, he circled the track in a personal-best time of 20.62. Prior to the national meet, Gauntlett was named the USTFCCCA South Central Region Track Athlete of the Year. He had a pair of third-place finishes at the SEC Championships at 200 meters and with the 4x400-meter relay team. During the USA Track & Field Classic, he was part of Arkansas’ win in the 4x400m with a time of 3:03.76, the second-fastest time in NCAA history and the No. 11 time ever run by a 4x400-meter relay team. The entire 4x400m was recognized the following week as a collective SEC Runner of the Week. The previous day at the Tyson Invitational, Gauntlett established a personal-best time of 46.23 at 400 meters. OUTDOOR: Gauntlett added three more first-team All-America accolades to his resume with a seventh-place finish at 400 meters and sixth-place finishes in the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays at the NCAA Championships. He was an SEC champion with the 4x100-meter relay and, individually, placed third at 400 meters. At the Drake Relays, Gauntlett was part of an event champion in the 4x200-meter relay in 1:22.27 and helped the 4x400m to a season-best time of 3:02.47, the third-fastest time in program history. During the season, he set personal bests of 20.45 at 200 meters and 45.13 at 400 meters. Following the collegiate season at the Jamaica Championships, Gauntlett went on to finish in eighth place at 400 meters. Representing his native Jamaica, he was sixth at 400 meters and third with the 4x100-meter relay at the NACAC Under-23 Championships in Mexico.

PRIOR TO ARKANSAS: Gauntlett spent two seasons at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore. During his time with the Hawks, he set school records in the indoor and outdoor 200 meters with times of 21.31 and 20.84, respectively. He was also part of the school-record 4x100-meter and distance-medley relay teams. Gauntlett earned the Rookie of the Year award for his performance during the 2009 season. He owns indoor bests of 6.72 in the 60 meters and 21.13 in the 200 meters. Gauntlett has outdoor personal-best times of 10.38 at 100 meters, 20.58 at 200 meters and 46.3 at 400 meters.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 26, 1990, he is the son of Osbourne and Alviroh Gauntlett. He plans to major in criminal justice and sociology at Arkansas.
