FAYETTEVILLE - The University of Arkansas football team (3-5, 0-4 SEC) fell on the road to No. 1 Alabama (7-0, 4-0 SEC), in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Saturday by a final score of 52-0. Alex Collins led the way offensively for the Razorbacks, finishing the game with 77 yards on 18 carries.

Collins ran strong the entirety of the game, including leading the Razorbacks on their second-longest drive of the game in the fourth quarter. Beginning from its own 33-yard line, Arkansas drove 52 yards in 11 plays, before turning the ball over on downs at the Alabama 15-yard line. Collins alone accounted for 39 of the 52 yards on the drive.

The longest drive of the game for Arkansas came in the second quarter, as the Razorbacks drove 67 yards in 12 plays, but had a 41-yard Zach Hocker field goal attempt blocked. The senior kicker had been a perfect 8-for-8 on field goal attempts up to that point this season.

Still only a three-possession game, the special teams play sprung the Crimson Tide to a 28-0 lead by halftime. Alabama was unable to be slowed the rest of the way, finishing the game with 532 yards of total offense, including 352 on the ground.

Arkansas recorded 165 yards rushing on the game, with the freshman Collins carrying the load with his 77 yards. Arkansas became the first team to rush for 100 yards against Alabama in Tuscaloosa since Texas A&M on Nov. 10, 2012.

Brandon Allen finished 7-for-25 passing with 91 yards, as Javontee Herndon and Hunter Henry each recorded 42 yards receiving to lead the Razorbacks.

Arkansas has its first bye week of the season next weekend, before returning home to host Auburn (6-1, 3-1 SEC) at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Nov. 2. Kickoff time and television coverage have yet to be announced.
