2011-12 Preview: Former Mr. Basketball in Canada, sould be better after a year in the program ... very good rebounder with an ability to shoot the outside shot ... according to Coach Anderson “I like his length and his athletic ability, he can block shots and really rebound the basketball, this season he will have an opportunity to showcase his skills, he brings energy.” 2010-11 (Junior): Played in 23 games in his first year with the program including five starts ... averaged 3.6 points and 3.3 rebounds with 11 blocks and eight steals ... recorded his first career double-double against Florida Gulf Coast (10-13) ... excellent off the bench at South Carolina with eight points on 50% from the floor including a three and two boards ... earned his first start against Mississippi Valley State scoring seven points and grabbing six rebounds ... led Arkansas in rebounding three times ... played a career high 21 minutes against North Carolina A&T and scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds and shot 80% from the floor. At Tallahassee Community College: National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)preseason All-American … fourth-team Super Sophomore by Sporting News … two-time first-team All-Panhandle Conference player … Florida Community College Activities Association (FCCAA) all-tournament selection … All-FCCAA and NJCAA Region VIII … member of PC Media’s All-Freshman team and a FCAA Player of the week … as a sophomore led Tallahassee Community College in scoring with 15.5 points per game while grabbing 6.9 rebounds per contest and shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor, 30 percent from three point and nearly 78 percent from the free throw line … led the Eagles to a 25-6 record in 2009-10 and a spot in the FCCAA Championship game … his freshman year he averaged 18.9 points and 8.6 rebounds at TCC for a team that went 15-13 … exploded onto the JUCO scene in his first game with 21 points and a school record 23 rebounds to notch the first 20-20 game in Tallahassee history … rated as a three-star recruit by Scout.com and Rivals.com coming out of TCC … was one of three ranked power forwards from the junior college ranks by Scout … signed with the Razorbacks after also considering Rutgers. In High School: Mr. Basketball in Canada in 2006 … three-star prospect by both Rivals and Scout … averaged 35 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocks as a senior and scored 40-plus points two times in his prep career … tournament all-star at the Humber College Classic … participant at the Nike Hoops Summit as well as the U.S.-International All-Star game … considered Duquesne, Rutgers and Cincinnati before signing with Loyola Univ. Chicago, but was not cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse which led to a year of prep school and eventually to junior college.
