AS A FRESHMAN (2011-12): Parlic made a big splash in his first season as a Razorback. The Miami native tallied the most wins out of any of the Razorback newcomers and even finished the season with a winning 12-7 record in singles. Parlic played in 12 dual matches in the spring, earning seven wins in the process and also got to see play in two SEC matches. Parlic's play was spread out between the No. 4, 5 and 6 positions, with his best record coming at the No. 4 spot where he was 3-1. Parlic never lost two matches in a row until the season reached the month of March. He actually started the season winning seven of his first 10 matches and was even part of Arkansas' upset win over DePaul when he beat Aaron Chaffee, 6-1, 6-2. Parlic saw a little bit of time in doubles, going 7-3 individually after teaming up with fellow freshman Victor Hoang and then-senior Nikolas Zogaj. Most of those matches came with Hoang where they were 5-2 overall and even made an appearance in the SEC Tournament against Ole Miss. 

BEFORE ARKANSAS: Parlic comes to Fayetteville by way of Miami Palmetto Senior High School where he was one of the top players in the state of Florida. During his senior season, Parlic reached the state finals in both singles and doubles and was named Miami’s best spring athlete by the Miami Herald at the end of the season. Before Miami, Parlic lived in his native country of Serbia where he was ranked in the top 10 in the junior national rankings.

PERSONAL: Jovan is the son of Uros and Slavica Parlic and plans to major in physical therapy.
