AS A FRESHMAN (2012-13): As just a freshman, Pang was one of the leading players for the Razorbacks during the 2013 season. She spent the entire season at No. 1 singles, and finished with a record of 11-12, with each one of her losses coming against nationally ranked opponent. Pang was ranked No. 42 in the nation by the ITA, and defeated seven ranked opponents. Pang was named to the First Team All-SEC, as well as the All-SEC Rookie Team. Additionally, Pang became only the second Razorback ever to be named the Central Region Rookie of the Year by the ITA. She was named SEC Freshman of the Week on March 6 for her performance in the first two SEC matches of her career, against Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Pang opened conference play with a three set victory of Kentucky's No. 51 Nadia Ravita, clinching a 4-3 victory for Arkansas in their SEC opener. She followed that with a straight set win over Vanderbilt's No. 60 Lauren Mira to earn the conference honors. Her best victory of the season followed, as the earned a three set victory of the road over Alabama's No. 20 Mary Ann Macfarlane to open SEC singles play 3-0. Pang had a breakout fall season, recording multiple strong performances against ranked opponents. She finished the fall season with a singles record of 6-4, which included three wins over ranked players. Pang defeated No. 45 Samantha Vickers at the Razorback Classic and No. 60 Whitney Ritchie at the CCLR Invitational. She also advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Central Regionals, including a victory over tournament No. 5 seed Janine Weinreich. 

BEFORE ARKANSAS: Achieved a career-high ranking of No. 888 in the WTA. Ranked 29th in the Chinese National overall rankings with a peak national junior ranking of No. 3. Played in the 2011 WTA Song Ericsson GZ Open and NJT National Tennis Teenagers U-18. Advanced to the semifinal round in multiple ITF professional tournaments at age 16. Was the youngest Chinese player to ever be invited to play in the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Cup at age 15, and was the highest rated 15-year old in the Chinese National Junior rankings.  

PERSONAL: Born April 2, 1993, Pang is the daughter of Chun Lei Pang and Jie Yang and the only child in the family. Father was a member of the Chinese national soccer team for six years. Mother competed in the Heptathlon in college.
