Anna Mayfield Records NCAA 'B' Cut Time in 200 Backstroke

FAYETTEVILLE -Freshman Anna Mayfield took first place in the 200 backstroke in the dual meet against Georgia. The freshman out-touched four Lady Bulldogs, who took second place through fifth, by nearly a second.

Her first-place time of 1:58.69 was good for the fifth-best time in the SEC this season and was good for an NCAA 'B' cut time.

Mayfield was also just under three tenths away from notching a top-five time in school history with her swim as she came within .26 of Liz Braun's time 1:58.43, which ranks fifth all-time in school history.
