Agim, Eugene Join On The Air With Bret Bielema

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After a week off due to the bye, “On the Air with Bret Bielema,” Coach Bielema’s weekly radio show presented by Lindsey and West Rock Coffee Company, returns Thursday night at 7 p.m. to start a streak of 10 consecutive weeks with a show. Sophomore defensive lineman McTelvin Agim and senior linebacker Dwayne Eugene Jr. will be Thursday’s guests.

Live from the Catfish Hole for the ninth straight year, Chuck Barrett, the voice of the Razorbacks, will host head coach Bret Bielema on the one-hour show while fans can make reservations to attend the shows by calling the Catfish Hole at 479-521-7008. Tickets are $25 and include all you can eat dinner buffet with catfish, shrimp and chicken.

Agim and Eugene have helped the Razorback defense rank 13th nationally in passing yards allowed per game (130.5) and tied for 17th in total defense through two games heading into Saturday’s SEC opener against Texas A&M at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.

An SEC All-Freshman team selection a year ago, Agim has continued to build on a strong freshman campaign with 13 tackles through the opening two games, good for second most on the team. Agim’s 6.5 tackles per game are tops in the SEC among defensive linemen while his 13 total tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss are both tied for eighth despite only playing two games. The Texarkana, Texas, native enters Saturday’s game with at least a half-tackle for loss in five straight games.

Eugene finished his junior season in 2016 with a career-best 44 tackles to rank second among Arkansas linebackers. Playing primarily in the “Hog” position in the 3-4 scheme, Eugene recorded his first career sack in the season opener and has four tackles through two games.

The show will be carried throughout the state of Arkansas on the Razorback Sports Network and locally in Fayetteville on 99.5 FM, 92.1 FM and 93.3 FM.
