Allen Named Manning Award Star of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas senior quarterback Brandon Allen is one of eight quarterbacks to be named “Stars of the Week” by The Manning Award, announced Tuesday by the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Allen opened the 2015 season with the best game of his career, completing 14 of 18 passes for a career-high 308 yards and four touchdowns. He became just the second Razorback to throw for four touchdowns in a half in the 48-13 win over UTEP. Allen’s performance gives him the SEC lead in pass efficiency (294.8), passing touchdowns (4) and passing yards (308).

Fans can vote for Allen to win the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week here. Voting closes on Friday at 11 a.m.

The Razorbacks return to action on Saturday when they host Toledo in Little Rock. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. and will be televised live on SEC Network Alternate.
