FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After recording his third-career top-15 finish at the 2004 Southeastern Conference Golf Championships on Sunday afternoon at the Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simon’s Island, Ga., senior Andrew Dahl was named to the first annual SEC Men’s Golf Good Works Team. The Good Works Team highlights an athlete from each league school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
Dahl, a native of Salinas, Calif., is a member of the UA’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. This year he helped initiate a canned food drive for the Battered Women’s Shelter and served Thanksgiving dinner to residents at the Assisted Living Center in Fayetteville. Dahl also belongs to an Arkansas Athletes Outreach Bible study.
Dahl is leading the team with a low stroke average of 72.3 and will certainly serve as a key component as the Razorbacks head into post season play with the NCAA Regionals in May 19-22. With a team finish in the top 10, UA would compete at the NCAA Championships in The Homestead, Va., on June 1-4.
