Andrew Landry Tied for 3rd; Hogs 12th after First Round of SEC Tournament
ST. SIMON ISLAND, Ga. – Arkansas sophomore golfer Andrew Landry is tied for third place after the first round of the SEC Golf Champions on the par-70, 6,991-yar Seaside Course at the Sea Island Golf Club on Friday.
Landry fired a 3-over-par 73 in tough opening round conditions and is four shots off the lead of Ole Miss’ Will Roebuck, who shot a 69.
The Razorbacks reside in 12th place with an opening-round total of 36-over-par 316. Ole Miss leads the tournament with a 15-over-par 295.
The remainder of the Hogs struggled with Barrett Lais shooting Arkansas’ second-best score at 9-over 79, and he is tied for 44th place. Freshman Dalton Owens carded an 81 (+11) on the opening 18 holes and is tied for 51st position.
Senior Beau Glover is tied for 59th place after a 13-over 83 with sophomore Jason Turner 60th with an 86.
The second round is slated for Saturday from the Seaside Course in St. Simon Island, Ga.
