Team Notes

The Razorbacks are now 2-1 at home this season and 1-1 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

This is the eighth time in Arkansas’ SEC history that it has opened conference play 0-1. The Razorbacks have opened SEC play 1-0 nine times.

The 87-yard touchdown run by Alabama in the first quarter is the longest play Arkansas has allowed from scrimmage this season.

Arkansas was 2-3 on fourth-down attempts in the game. The Razorbacks are now 4-6 on the season on fourth down. The Razorbacks have scored two touchdowns on fourth-down plays.

Arkansas is 2-1 in coin tosses this season. The Razorbacks won both games that they won the coin toss.

This is the first time since the 1999 Citrus Bowl against Michigan that an Arkansas opponent returned more than one interception for a touchdown.

Individual Notes

Lucas Miller caught Casey Dick’s first pass of the game, it was the first time this season that D.J. Williams did not catch the first pass from Dick.

Casey Dick finished the game 20-for-39 yards for 190 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. He now ranks on Arkansas’ all-time career passing lists as follows:

Casey Dick’s three interceptions on the day are a career high

Casey Dick completed passes to nine different Razorbacks on the day, a season high.

Michael Smith’s 67 receiving yards and six receptions are career highs.

D.J. Williams’ first reception went for 13 yards and a first down.

Andrew Davie’s first reception of the season was a 12-yard touchdown on a fourth-down play.

Dennis Johnson’s second quarter kickoff return of 41 yards is a career best and season long for the Razorbacks.

Ramon Broadway’s fourth-quarter interception of Greg McElroy is the first takeaway by a Razorback this season. It is also his first career interception.

Tyler Wilson played in his first game as a Razorback in the fourth quarter.

Tyler Wilson completed his first career pass attempt on a toss to Michael Smith for a nine-yard gain.

Tyler Wilson engineered a touchdown on his first drive as the Razorback quarterback. His first score was a 10-yard pass to Michael Smith on fourth down.

Today’s attendance of 72,315 is the 14th largest attendance in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium history. It is the largest attendance for a Razorback game this season and the fourth-largest attendance for an Arkansas-Alabama game in Fayetteville. Alabama now ranks 4, 9, 11 and 14 on Arkansas’ all-time attendance lists.

The 35-point margin of victory for the Crimson Tide is its largest ever against the Razorbacks. Alabama did defeat Arkansas 43-3 during the 1993 season but had to forfeit the game due to a NCAA-imposed forfeit.
