Arkansas Game Notes
Arkansas is now 4-3 in coin tosses this season and 3-1 when it wins the toss.
The Razorbacks are now 2-4 against Kentucky all-time and 1-2 at Commonwealth Stadium.
Arkansas’ first-quarter touchdown at the 8:09 mark was its first first-quarter TD of the year. Michael Smith got the score on a two-yard carry.
Arkansas’ 7-0 lead after the first quarter marked the first time this year the Razorbacks have held a lead following the opening period.
With Michael Smith’s 100-yard rushing effort, Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino has now had a 100-yard rusher 74 times in 127 games as a head coach.
Arkansas’ 14 first-half points are a season high. The previous high was 10 at Auburn last week.
The Razorbacks led 14-0 at the half. The last time Arkansas had a shutout at the half was against Ole Miss on Oct. 20, 2007, when the Hogs led 21-0 at the break.
Alfonso Smith’s 71-yard reception for a Kentucky touchdown is the longest pass completion of the year against Arkansas. The previous long was 46 yards.
Arkansas’ 20-play drive for a field goal in the fourth quarter is its longest of the year. The drive covered 87 yards and used 9:45 off the clock. The previous long drive was 13 plays against Auburn.
Casey Dick completed 11-of-29 passes for 94 yards with one touchdown. He now ranks on Arkansas’ all-time charts as follows:

Michael Smith ran for 192 yards and a touchdown on 35 carries. His yardage total is a career high. His previous high was 176 yards on 35 carries last week at Auburn. The 35 carries in each of the last two games is also a career best.
Smith now has five 100-yard games for his career. He has four this season with three straight and in four of the last five games.
D.J. Williams failed to register a reception for the first time this season.
Freshman free safety Elton Ford’s first quarter interception was the first of his career. Ford’s pick set up Michael Smith’s two-yard touchdown run at the 8:09 mark.
Senior end Antwain Robinson teamed with junior tackle Malcolm Sheppard to record his first sack of the season when the pair combined for an eight-yard loss of Randall Cobb in the second quarter. Sheppard also had a one-yard TFL earlier in the game.
Junior linebacker Wendal Davis’ forced fumble hit on Derrick Locke in the second quarter was the first of his career. Freshman linebacker Jerry Franklin recovered the fumble, the first of his career.
Casey Dick’s 24-yard scramble for a first down in the third quarter is the longest run of his career. His previous long was 23 on a touchdown run against Western Illinois in the season opener.
This was the first time Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino returned to Kentucky since he left Louisville.
Bobby Petrino is now 4-1 against Kentucky as a head coach (4-0 with Louisville, 0-1 with Arkansas).
