Arkansas Drops to 28th in Second Round of NCAA

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Razorback golf team slipped to 28th at NCAA Championships when they shot a 38-over-par 326 in the second round. Their total score is now a 640 and 64 over par on Karsten Creek’s 72-par, 7,301-yard golf course. UCLA shot up to solely hold the lead position with a 22-over-par 598, while the former leader, Oklahoma State dropped to second with a 599 (+23).
After starting the day in a tie for 13th junior Andrew Dahl fell to 45th. Dahl shot a nine-over-par 81, to make his total 154 and 10 over par. He was playing consistent golf, until the last three holes where he was nine-over-par. Junior Seth Murphy was the only Hog to score sub-80 on the day, with a seven-over-par 79. Murphy is now tied for 77th with a 13-over-par 157.
Freshman Paul Bradshaw came off the course with a ten-over-par 82 and in a tie for 122nd. His total is now a 19-over-par 163. Junior Adam Wing and sophomore Josh Farrell are both tied in 140th with a score of 167 and 23 over par. Wing shot an 85 for 13 over par in the second round, while Farrell was one stroke ahead with a 12-over-par 84.
For the third round Arkansas will tee off with South Carolina and San Diego State at 7:27 a.m., on the 10th hole.
