TULSA, Okla. – Arkansas led most of the game but Oklahoma State rallied down the stretch to upset the No. 21 Razorbacks, 74-73, Saturday. Arkansas’ Joe Johnson made a three-pointer at the buzzer to account for the final margin, but the Cowboys (4-1) came back from a 10-point second-half deficit to take a 70-65 lead with 59 seconds to play. Brandon Dean made a three-pointer with 39 seconds left and Teddy Gipson scored on a tip-in to get UA (6-2) within 72-70 with 11 seconds to go, but Maurice Baker made two free throws with nine seconds left to give OSU the win. Arkansas made 13-of-27 three-pointers (48.1 percent) and 10-of-12 free throws (83.3 percent) but the Razorbacks forced just 14 turnovers while losing the ball 15 times. Arkansas had 11 assists, the second time this year the Hogs have had more turnovers than assists. UA lost both of those game. Oklahoma State made as many field goals as free throws in the second half, and outscored Arkansas 14-7 at the line in the second period. Johnson led the Razorbacks with 22 points and seven rebounds. T. J. Cleveland and Gipson added 11 points each while Blake Eddins had nine. Baker led the Cowboys with 25 points. Fredrik Jonzen had 19 points, Victor Williams 13, and Andre Williams 11 points and 13 rebounds. Arkansas is off until Dec. 20 when the Razorbacks play host to Northwestern State.
