Arkansas Golfer Tied for 15th at the Hall of F

HUMBLE, Texas – The Arkansas men’s golf team shot a 21-over-par 309 on Friday in the first round of the Hall of Fame Invitational at the Redstone Golf Club to finish in a tie for 15th place.
Sophomore Scotty Campbell paced the Hogs with an even par 72 and sits in a tie for 12th place individually headed into Saturday’s second round.
Sophomore Matt Bortis carded the Razorbacks’ second-best score with a five-over-par 77 at the Golf Coaches Association of America event.
TCU leads the event after the first 18 holes with a three-under-par 285 on the par-72 course. UNLV is in second place after a one-under-par 287 while Wake Forest is in third at 290. Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and New Mexico are tied for fourth after each posted rounds of 292.
The Deamon Deacons Kyle Reifers holds the individual lead with a six-under-par 66. Charlie Beljan of New Mexico sits in second place after a three-under-par 69. A group of seven players is tied for third place after posting two-under-par scores of 70.
Arkansas Freshmen Will Osborne and Eric Shriver both fired eight-over-par rounds of 80 on Friday with junior Josh Farrell posting an 82.
The second round of the Hall of Fame Invitational is scheduled for Saturday with the Razorbacks teeing off at 7:30 a.m.
