Arkansas Heads To Minnesota For ITA Central Regional Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team returns to action Thursday, as the Razorbacks travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to compete at the ITA Central Regional Championships, being held Oct. 19-23 at the Baseline Tennis Center at the University of Minnesota.

Arkansas will be one of 15 schools competing at the Championships, as the Razorbacks will have seven participating in singles, along with three doubles duos. One of the three Arkansas tandems is 27th-ranked Adam Sanjurjo and Salazar.

The tournament will feature single-elimination singles and doubles main draws. Consolation matches will be held, though not in a bracket format.

Through three tournaments this fall, 27th-ranked Jose Salazar (5-3) and Josh Howard-Tripp (5-4) tie for the team lead in singles wins with five, while Oscar Mesquida (3-3) and Jose Alonzo (3-2) follow with three wins each.
