FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Three Arkansas pitchers combined to hold McNeese State to one run on seven hits as the Razorbacks posted a 7-1 victory over the Cowboys Tuesday afternoon at Baum Stadium.
Arkansas improved to 7-0 with the win, while McNeese State dropped to 4-6.
Arkansas starter Daryl Maday (2-0) earned the victory after scattering five hits in four innings of work. Maday walked one and struck out one in earning the win.
Brian McLelland relieved Maday in the fifth and struck out four in holding the Cowboys hitless in his three innings of work.
Zach Butler pitched the final two innings of the game allowing one run, unearned, on two hits with a pair of strikeouts to record his second save of the season.
