FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Razorbacks exploded for seven runs in the sixth inning to erase a 4-2 deficit and cruise to a 16-4 victory over the Centenary Gents Tuesday night at Baum Stadium.

Scott Roehl upped his record to 2-0 after throwing two and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball and surrendering just two hits.
Centenary dropped to 9-21 with the loss, while Bryan Treanor took the loss to fall to 1-2 on the year. Treanor allowed five runs, four earned, on three hits in one-third inning of work.
The Gents put up three runs in the top of the fourth inning. Centenary began the inning with three consecutive singles, the third coming from Ryan Green which plated Andrew Collup. With two outs and two on, J.W. Pate laced a single to right field that scored Larry Branson and Green for a 3-0 Gents lead.
Centenary added another run in the fifth on an RBI single by Collup that scored Patrick Beale.
Collup kept the Razorbacks off balance through the first four innings. The Gents retired the first eight batters before Luke Weatherford reached on a bunt single in the bottom of the third inning.
The Razorbacks finally broke through in the fifth inning. Kirk McConnell drew a bases-loaded walk for the first run, then Michael Conner was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to make it a 4-2 game.
Arkansas tied it in the sixth inning. Scott Hode drove in Brett Hagedorn with a single to right. Nick Pitts, who pinch-hit for Patrick Woodruff, walked and scored the tying run on a balk by Gents’ pitcher Bryan Treanor.
Still in the sixth, Arkansas continued the rally when McConnell doubled home Hode for a 5-4 Razorback lead. Jeff Fletcher gave Arkansas a 6-4 lead when he brought in Tigger Lyles on a fielder’s choice. Andrew Wishy increased the lead with a single to left that plated McConnell and gave the Razorbacks a 7-4 advantage. The Razorbacks continued the offensive explosion when Hagedorn singled to center to score Fletcher and give the Hogs an 8-4 lead. Cody Clark walked to bring home Conner to cap the scoring and give the Hogs a 9-4 advantage.
Arkansas added three more runs in the seventh. Jeff Fletcher singled to right to score Lyles for the first run of the inning. Wishy then homered to right to score Fletcher to give the Razorbacks a 12-4 lead.
The Razorbacks capped the scoring with a four-spot in the eighth inning. Fletcher, Wishy and Jason Reynolds each drove in runs during the eighth to give the Razorbacks their second largest margin of victory this season. Arkansas had a 17 run victory earlier this season over Air Force at the Texas-Arlington Invitational.
Arkansas and Centenary conclude their series Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Baum Stadium.
