Arkansas Set to Start New Season with Match Ag

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 39 Arkansas Razorback tennis team begins its regular season on Sunday Jan. 25, when it takes on the Nebraska Cornhuskers at noon at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center.
“We are glad to get the season started,” head coach Robert Cox stated. “We are healthy and ready to get into action.”
After defeating exhibition foe Stirling University on Wednesday, the Hogs led by Adrians Zguns, No. 14 in the nation, and Nathan Price, No. 50 in the nation, set its sight on the Cornhuskers on Sunday. Nebraska returns five lettermen from last year’s team that Arkansas defeated last year in Fayetteville 4-3. This marks the first regular season dual match for freshmen Matt Simpson, Viktor Hebrand, and Andrei Nicoara.
Arkansas follows its match against Nebraska with another Big XII opponent when the No. 13 Texas Longhorns come to town on Friday Jan. 30, at 5 p.m. The match will take place at Arkansas’ Dills Indoor Tennis Center.
