FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas volleyball team successfully completed a five-game Alumni match in Barnhill Arena Sunday. Although no official statistics were kept, the Lady Razorbacks were able to measure success by different methods. Head coach Chris Poole played all 13 players and tried several different combinations in a game-setting against a salty alumni team. Arkansas junior Denitza Koleva and sophomore Jessica Dorrell unofficially led the Lady’Backs with 15 kills each while junior Kele Brewer added 11. Senior Karla Crose added one block solo and seven block assists while three Lady’Backs, Iva Docekalova, Nicole Martin and Caira Daugherty shared time at the setting position. Newcomers Krsitin Seaton and Christina Lawrence added five and six kills, respectively, for Arkansas. The Lady Razorbacks open the 2005 season Friday and Saturday, Aug. 26-27, hosting the Arkansas Invitational in Barnhill. The first match is slated for a noon start with Belmont taking on North Texas.
