Noting the RazorbacksArkansas (29-12, 13-7 SEC) got back to its winning ways this week as it went 3-1 with a midweek victory at Oral Roberts before traveling to Tennessee to take two of three games from the Volunteers … By virtue of its loss to Tennessee on Saturday, the Razorbacks drop to second in the SEC West, ½ game behind LSU who travels to Arkansas’ Baum Stadium this weekend for a three-game showdown of the top two teams in the division … In the national polls, Arkansas ranked between No. 7 and No. 13 last week with their high ranking coming from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper … The Razorback victories this week were truly team affairs as most of the Arkansas hitters batted around .300 and the pitching staff had a 5.45 ERA … Freshman Zack Cox was the exception as he batted over .500 in three games with seven hits, four for extra bases and four RBI … Cox is currently riding a career best five-game hitting streak … The Razorbacks belted five home runs in their 15-8 victory at Tennessee on Sunday afternoon, the five dingers were a season best for a single game … Andy Wilkins and Scott Lyons each hit two home runs in Sunday’s win … Wilkins now has 13 home runs on the season and leads the Razorbacks in RBI with 34 … Of Wilkins 13 home runs, seven have come against SEC pitching … Arkansas’ 15 runs against Tennessee on Sunday is the second time this season the Hogs have tallied at least 15 against a conference opponent this year (Miss. St.-20), the last time Arkansas accomplished that task was during the 2002 season when they scored 18 and 16 … Arkansas’ hit parade against the Volunteers (37 hits in three games) is the fifth time Arkansas has tallied at least 30 hits in a three-game series this season … The Razorbacks threw out a Tennessee runner at the plate in Sunday’s game and the outfield assist was the 10th of the season for the Razorbacks and the fifth of the year for Collin Kuhn … Arkansas’ 10 outfield assists is the seventh consecutive season that the Razorbacks have had at least 10 … Kuhn’s five assists are the most by a Razorback outfielder since Casey Coon had seven during the 2007 season … Junior Dallas Keuchel earned his sixth win of the season and fifth in SEC play on Friday night … In seven SEC starts, Keuchel has allowed three or fewer runs six times and pitched six or more innings in five starts … The Razorbacks play another tough opponent on Tuesday evening as Oklahoma comes to Baum Stadium … Arkansas then hosts LSU over the weekend in a series that could decide the division.
