Noting the RazorbacksArkansas (41-24, 14-15 SEC) ended its season at the College World Series, its sixth appearance at the event in school history and the first time they have played for a national title since the 2004 season … The Razorbacks were 7-2 in the post season (3-0 NCAA Norman Regional, 2-0 NCAA Tallahassee Super Regional, 2-2 College World Series) matching their best post season run in school history (1979) … The Razorbacks’ victory over Cal St. Fullerton at the College World Series was their first at the CWS since the 1989 season and Arkansas’ two victories at the CWS were the first time the Razorbacks won two games in Omaha since the 1985 season … Arkansas’ tied for third finish at the CWS is its highest finish in baseball since the 1985 season where it also finished tied for third and the second best in school history (1979 national runner up) … Arkansas ended its season with a record of 19-14 against ranked teams this spring and were 8-1 against the Pac 10, 3-0 vs. the ACC and 5-2 against the Big 12 … Andy Wilkins’ 19 home runs placed him in a tie for fourth on Arkansas’ all-time single season list with Ryan Fox (2003) … Wilkins 150 total bases ranked tied for 10th in a single season with Jeff King (1986) … Chase Leavitt (49) and Andy Wilkins (48) ranked seventh and tied for eighth, respectively, on Arkansas’ single season walks list … Stephen Richards’ 31 appearances (9th) and nine saves (T5th) each rank on the Razorbacks’ single season charts … Zack Cox set Arkansas’ all-time record for home runs by a freshman (13) breaking the record of Brian Kirby who hit 11 in 1998 … Ben Tschepikow completed his career tied for seventh on Arkansas’ all-time list for singles in a career with 157 … Arkansas’ 80 home runs this season rank tied for second on the Hogs’ all-time list behind the 84 they hit in 1999 … The Razorback pitching staff pitched 580.0 innings this season which ranks second on the all-time list … Andy Wilkins was invited to participate in the USA Baseball National Team (Collegiate) Trials and is currently in Cary, N.C. … Wilkins was also named the NCAA Norman Regional’s Most Outstanding Player and the team’s most valuable hitter … Ben Tschepikow was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team and the NCAA Norman Regional All-Tournament Team as well as being named the team’s co-MVP this spring … Dallas Keuchel shared team co-MVP honors with Tschepikow and was also named the team’s most valuable pitcher … Three Razorbacks were named to the SEC All-Tournament Team (Bo Bigham, Ben Tschepikow, Zack Cox) … Six Arkansas players were named to the NCAA Norman Regional All-Tournament Team (Zack Cox, Chase Leavitt, James McCann, Drew Smyly, Ben Tschepikow and Andy Wilkins) … Zack Cox was named a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger and a second-team Freshman All-American by the NCBWA, he was also named to the All-Ping!Baseball freshman team … Stephen Richards was named second-team All-South Region and second-team All-Ping!Baseball … Six Razorbacks were taken in the MLB First Year Player Draft (Dallas Keuchel, Stephen Richards, Scott Lyons, Ben Tschepikow, Mike Bolsinger and Ryan Cisterna).
