Noting the RazorbacksArkansas (31-17, 14-12 SEC) was swept by the No. 21 Alabama Crimson Tide over the weekend in three close ball games … The Razorbacks lost a pitcher’s duel on Friday night, 2-1, then dropped a wild game on Saturday, 8-6, then dropped the finale, 6-5 … Arkansas is still 10-8 against ranked teams this season and 5-4 against teams among the nation’s top 10 … Of Arkansas’ 12 SEC losses this season, six have been one-run games and one other was a two-run loss … Since mid April, Arkansas has lost seven SEC games by a combined 13 runs … The Razorbacks are currently in their longest losing streak of the season, five games, and it is the longest losing streak by the Hogs since the 2005 season … Freshman Collin Kuhn had a very good weekend for the Razorbacks despite the outcomes as he batted .364 and hit the first three home runs of his career … Kuhn accounted for more than half of Arkansas’ runs in the Alabama series by scoring five and driving in four while reaching base in seven of 13 plate appearances … Junior Dallas Keuchel was fantastic on Friday night only to suffer his second loss of the season … Keuchel pitched 7.2 innings and scattered eight hits while giving up just two runs … Keuchel’s loss on Friday night dropped the junior left-hander’s record to 7-2 on the year and 6-2 in SEC play and his ERA dropped to 3.99 … Freshman James McCann also hit the first home run of his career, an opposite field shot in Saturday’s game with Alabama … In a weekend full of freshmen in the lineup, Jarrod McKinney had a brilliant weekend with a .571 batting average in two games including the first three-hit game of his career … McKinney was 4-7 (.571) with a run scored, two RBI, a double and two stolen bases … Scott Lyons had a 23-game errorless game streak halted on Saturday when he was charged with an error on a play to his left, but Andy Wilkins’ string of 39 games without a miscue continues … After getting hit with two losses against Georgia, junior Mike Bolsinger has been tremendous out of the bullpen as he has not allowed an earned run in five consecutive appearances and dropped his earned run average to 2.32 … Junior Stephen Richards continues to be Arkansas’ most reliable arm out of the bullpen and despite giving up a pair of hits, worked out of a bases loaded situation on Sunday to drop his earned run average to 0.95 over 28.1 innings of work … The Razorbacks face Oral Roberts on Tuesday before closing out the regular season against Ole Miss, Thursday-Saturday.
