Arkansas Baseball Set to Scrimmage Friday at 6 p.m.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas baseball team will hold a major-public scrimmage on Friday, Sept. 28, beginning at 6 p.m. from Baum Stadium.

The nine- or 10-inning scrimmage, which is open to the public, will feature two evenly divided teams to give the Razorback fans another look at the 2008 Diamond Hogs.

The Hogs return six starting position players along with pitchers Shaun Seibert, Dallas Keuchel, Travis Hill, Stephen Richards and Evan Cox.

It will also be a chance to get a sneak peak at Head Coach Dave Van Horn’s newcomers. The 20-man incoming class includes seven players that have turned down professional contracts to play for the Razorbacks.

Arkansas first scrimmage of the fall, which took place last Friday, saw the Razorbacks combine for three home runs and eight extra-base hits. The Hogs also got solid pitching performances from Richards, sophomore-transfer Mike Bolsinger and sophomore Chad Pierce.
