The Razorbacks won just their third series over the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa and their first series win at Alabama since the 2005 season. Arkansas is now 23-9 on the season and 8-4 in SEC play.

The Razorback pitching staff finished the three-game series with a 0.69 ERA, only allowing two earned runs in 26 innings. Ryne Stanek had a dominant performance in Arkansas’ series-clinching win on Friday. Stanek worked eight shutout innings, allowing just four hits and striking out five. Stanek did not allow an Alabama runner to advance past first base during his eight innings. Jalen Beeks picked up the win in the series finale on Thursday. Beeks struck out three and gave up just one hit in 2.2 innings. Colby Suggs recorded the save in Thursday’s game, working a scoreless inning with a strikeout. Barrett Astin started the series opener and allowed one unearned run with four strikeouts in 4.1 innings. Chris Oliver made two appearances out of the bullpen and worked three innings, giving up an unearned run and striking out four. Trent Daniel and Michael Gunn each worked a shutout inning in relief.

The Arkansas offense had 30 hits in the Alabama series, finishing the three games with a .288 batting average. Joe Serrano led the Razorbacks at the plate, hitting .462 (6-for-13) with three runs scored. Willie Schwanke was 4-for-7 in the series, while Dominic Ficociello hit .333 (4-for-12) with a run scored. Brian Anderson batted .286 (4-for-14) with two RBI and two runs scored, while Matt Vinson was 3-for-11 with two RBI. Jacob Morris drove in a team-high three runs in the three games.

The Razorbacks return home this week to play five games at Baum Stadium. Arkansas will face New Mexico on Tuesday and Wednesday with first pitch for each game set for 6:35 p.m. Next weekend, the Razorbacks host No. 2 LSU for a three-game series. Game times for the weekend series are set for 6:35 p.m. on Friday, 6:05 p.m. on Saturday and 1:05 p.m. on Sunday. The Saturday and Sunday games will be televised on Cox Sports Television.
