Arkansas match against Missouri moved to Bentonville

FAYETTEVILLE – After beginning the season 2-0, the 53rd ranked University of Arkansas Lady Razorback tennis team turns its focus to its match Saturday against Missouri which has been moved to the Walton Life and Fitness Center.

"It’s always good to test ourselves against a team from another great conference as we prepare for SEC play later in the season,” said Arkansas head coach Michael Hegarty. “Missouri always brings a spirited squad and we will need to be ready for a tough encounter."

This is the Lady Tigers’ first match of the season, after finishing 2007 with an 8-13 record and a ninth place finish in the Big 12 at 3-8.

The Lady’Backs enter Saturday’s match after two stellar performances at Brigham Young and Utah. Arkansas upset No. 28 BYU 5-2 before humbling Utah, 6-1.

Arkansas features the No. 1 ranked women’s player, Aurelija Miseviciute, as well as SEC Freshman of the Week, Anouk Tigu. In doubles, Miseviciute and Ela Kaluder are ranked No. 12, while Maryori Franco and Nanar Airapetian come in at No. 45.

The Walton Life and Fitness Center is located at 1701 SE 14TH St. in Bentonville.
