Arkansas Netters Wrap Successful Season Opener

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorback tennis team concluded the weekend with a sweep of its doubles matches against host-team Wichita State at the Shocker Invitational. During the season-opening event, the Arkansas netters won 14 of 15 singles matches and five of six in doubles action.

Freshman Chris Nott and sophomore Dmitry Lebedev teamed to win two matches during the Shocker Invitational, including Sunday’s 8-6 win over Albert Ballesta and Thiago Dos Santos.

In their first match of the spring, Taylor King and Tyler Tarnasky defeated Tiago Espirito Santo and Adrian Chermaci, 8-4. Bradwin Williams and Matt Hogan rebounded from a loss Saturday and beat Kevin Gardner and Scott McCormick, 8-1, on the event’s final day.
