FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas football team practiced on Thursday on the UA practice fields as they prepared for a home matchup on Saturday against Kentucky inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
Head Coach John L. Smith spoke to the media after practice and discussed the team’s approach for the Kentucky game.

“It was a very good week,” Coach Smith said. “We were very sharp and had high energy. Now it’s time to take it to the game field like we did a week ago. Playing in front of our hometown crowd again will be great.”
Coach Smith also commented on the mentality of the younger players stepping up into larger roles.
“You just have to stay positive,” Coach Smith said. “You keep things simple. You can see immense growth in those guys from day to day and week to week. They’re getting better.”
Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 6 p.m., and the game will be televised on FSN.
