Arkansas? Strode Concludes at Polo All-American Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Arkansas sophomore Blake Strode has concluded his trip to the Polo All-American Tennis Championships at the Case Center in Tulsa, Okla. Strode went 2-1 over the three-day event.

Strode, participating in his first fall tournament, fell to Brian Hung, Michigan’s No. 1 singles player, 6-4, 6-4, in 90-degree heat in Tulsa, on the campus of the University of Tulsa, Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, the St. Louis native topped Federico Murgier of SMU, 6-3, 6-2, in straight sets. Strode advanced to the second round after defeating Billy Mertz of Alabama, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, in the opening of round of the singles qualifying draw on Monday.
