FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas-UConn men’s basketball game scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3, will be televised nationally by ESPN and on the internet at ESPN3.com with a tip time of 2:15 p.m., central it was announced by ESPN on Wednesday.
The matchup, which has the Razorbacks traveling to the defending national champion Huskies, is part of the Big East/SEC Challenge which enters its fifth year and first in its current format. The location of the game has yet to be determined as UConn plays regular season home contest at both Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn., and the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.
The meeting between Arkansas and Connecticut is the third all-time and the first since the 2005-06 season. The two squads first met during the 1996-97 season in the third-place game of the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) in New York City, then at the Maui Invitational in 2005-06. The Huskies prevailed in both contests, 74-64 in the first meeting and 77-68 in the most recent contest.
