Arkansas up to No. 12

FAYETTEVILLE – Following its win at Kentucky last week, Arkansas’ gymnastics team has moved up from No. 13 to No. 12 in this week’s GymInfo rankings while junior All-American Jaime Pisani has moved into the top five individually.

The Razorbacks scored 194.975 points in Friday’s win at Lexington. Kentucky dropped from No. 27 to No. 30.

This week’s opponent, Auburn at Auburn, Ala., on Friday at 7 p.m., moved up from No. 34 to No. 22.

In the individual events, Arkansas is No. 11 in the country on vault, No. 23 on bars, No. 18 on beam and No. 6 on floor.

Individually, Pisani is No. 3 in the country on floor, No. 12 in the all-around and No. 32 on vault. Freshman Katherine Grable is tied for No. 29 in both the all-around and on floor.

Pisani and Grable have each won two all-around titles this year. Pisani has six individual event titles this season and 37 for her career. Grable has two all-around titles and sophomore Jordan Salsberg is coming off a beam victory at Kentucky.

In the South Central Regional rankings, Arkansas is No. 3 overall, No. 3 on vault, No. 4 on bars, No. 3 on beam and No. 2 on floor.

Individually, Pisani is No. 1 in the all-around and on floor, tied for No. 5 on vault and tied for No. 9 on bars. Grable is No. 5 in the all-around and on floor, tied for No. 13 on vault and No. 24 on beam. Salsberg is No. 11 in the all-around, No. 15 on beam and tied for No. 23 on floor.

Senior All-American Michelle Stout is No. 12 on vault, freshman Bailee Zumwalde No. 13 on floor, freshman Shelby Salmon tied for No. 11 on beam and tied for No. 19 on bars, sophomore Amanda Siebert tied for No. 19 on vault and sophomore Kelci Lewis tied for No. 23 on floor.

Following this week’s meet at Auburn, the Razorbacks are home to face Georgia on Friday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. in Barnhill Arena.
