Arkansas vs. Vanderbilt

FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas women’s basketball team faces No. 20 Vanderbilt in the first round of the 2010 Southeastern Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament in Duluth, Ga., the league office announced Sunday night.

Arkansas (12-17) and Vanderbilt meet at 5:30 p.m. central in a five-seed/12-seed match-up. The game airs live on FSN.

"Our goal is the same," Arkansas head coach Tom Collen said. "We want to win at least one game in the SEC Tournament. It’s been a while since Arkansas has done that. Then, we’ll see what happens. You can get on a roll and anything is possible."

Tennessee finished as the top seed followed by Kentucky, LSU and Mississippi State all earning byes in the first round. Vanderbilt earned a fifth-seed, with Florida a sixth-seed and Georgia at No. 7. The rest of the field includes No. 8 South Carolina, No. 9 Ole Miss, No. 10 Auburn and No. 11 Alabama.
