AutoZone Liberty Bowl sold out

Memphis, TN – For the second time in the last three years, the AutoZone Liberty Bowl is a sellout. More than 62,000 fans will witness the Arkansas Razorbacks taking on the East Carolina Pirates in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. The game will be played on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. "We’re very proud to announce a sellout of this year’s game," said Kevin Kane, 2009 President of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl Festival Association. "Memphis and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl are a super travel destination for the New Year’s weekend. We’re looking forward to having thousands of Arkansas and East Carolina fans in town for the game." East Carolina is returning to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl for the second consecutive year as the two-time champion of Conference USA. Arkansas is making its first appearance in the Bowl after a 22 year absence. This will be the fourth appearance in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl for both teams.
