Baseball Climbs as High as 14th in National Po

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas baseball team climbed seven spots to 14th in the latest Sports Weekly/ESPN Coaches poll and entered Baseball America’s rankings for the first time this season at No. 19.
The Collegiate Baseball poll has the Hogs ranked 16th, a seven-spot jump from last week.
“It is great to have the national polls recognize the success we have had early on this season,” Head Coach Dave Van Horn said. “Now we just need to go out and play the game every day like we are capable of and stay there.”
The Razorbacks improved to 9-1 this past weekend with a home sweep of Minnesota. Baum Stadium saw 13,056 fans, a new school record for opening weekend attendance, pass through the gates.
Texas is ranked first in both the Sports Weekly/ESPN Coaches poll and the Collegiate Baseball rankings, while Tulane tops the Baseball American poll.
The Hogs wrap up their six-game home stand beginning at 2:35 p.m. on Friday with Illinois-Chicago visiting the Baum Stadium.
