FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas men’s basketball staff were special guests at the Order of Omega Awards Ceremony at the Arkansas Union on Thursday evening.
Arkansas head coach Mike Anderson and his staff surprised the roughly 200 students in attendance at the function that were on hand to receive awards earned throughout the 2010-11 academic year. Following the awards portion of the event, the Order of Omega officers asked the students to stand and begin "Calling the Hogs" at which time Anderson and the rest of the Razorback staff members stepped out on stage to join the party.
The Razorback coaches were met with a big cheer from the crowd and allowed Anderson to speak for a short time before he was presented with an honorary award.
Anderson’s message to the students was congratulatory to the award winners and also to join him at Bud Walton Arena next fall for an exciting brand of basketball.
