Mike Anderson on the depth: “The thing that excites me is that we have more pieces now, more pieces to the puzzle that fit what we want to do.”

Anderson on Moses Kingsley: “He’s got that sense of urgency. We’ve got to have him continue to play that dominant role he played last year, now he has help. So hopefully it will allow him to do more things for our basketball team. We’re going to rely on his leadership and defensive capabilities. Offensively, I think he can be a guy we can go to. I think we can spread the floor. People aren’t going to be able to just think about Moses or a guy like Dusty (Hannahs). We have a lot of other players we didn’t have last year. We have more options out on the floor and we have more options coming off of the bench.”

Anderson on point guard play: “I think that is going to be critical for this team. You always talk about leadership, and sometimes it’s just a word. I’m looking for someone who can take command out on the floor. Last year, we were in a lot of close games. You have to have somebody where you can put the ball in their hands and make plays for others. I think that’s going to be important.”

Dusty Hannahs on the newcomers: “We just have someone who has a specialty in everything. Guys that are doing the dirty work, we have guys that are scoring, playing lockdown defense and a lot of play makers. That’s what they all have in common too. That’s a big difference between this year and last year. We’re going to keep working.”

Daryl Macon on the depth: “We have a lot of weapons, one’s that can not only start but come off the bench, also. We are very deep this year. We have a brotherhood that I feel that no one can break.”

Adrio Bailey on practice: “It’s a process. It’s tough, but I feel like we are getting there. We aren’t all the way there and we know that you have to take every day step-by-step, but we are getting there.”

Dustin Thomas on Moses Kingsley returning: “We are led by Moses. I’m excited he came back. We didn’t think he was coming back. He leads by example in practiced with the energy he has. We try to get him involved early in practice so he knows we need him throughout the year. He knows his role. He’s more aggressive, he’s rebounding more. He’s hitting the open jump shots more. As an all-around player and he’s gotten a lot better.”
