Bordeleau Wilhelm pace final day at William and Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Vir. – Audrey Bordeleau captured the B flight consolation title and Rachel Wilhelm a pair of matches to highlight the final day for the University of Arkansas women’s tennis team at the 14th annual William and Mary Invitational.

Bordeleau defeated Amanda Rales of Virginia, 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6), to win her consolation title.

Wilhelm won her C flight singles match with Jeanne Schwartz of Marshal, 6-2, 6-4, after teaming with freshman Stacia Cozirscaia at the start of the morning to win the C flight doubles consolation, 8-2.

“I was particularly pleased with the continued development of Audrey and Rachel,” UA head coach Michael Hegarty said. “They battled to the end. It was difficult for them as this marked the seventh match in three days, but they were strong to the very end.”

Cozirscaia lost her E flight title match with Jessica Preeg of Virginia, 6-3, 7-6.
